A plane passenger has sparked outrage after revealing her hack for watching in-flight entertainment on a phone using someone else’s headrest.

Ida Augusta, a micro-influencer from Denmark, has more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares videos about her life and travels.

The content creator, who uses the handle @idaaugustawent viral when she shared her trick of holding her cell phone on the back of the seat in front of her.

However, it might have been better if she had demonstrated a similar hack, using a sick bag or napkin instead.

A lot of people criticized her for her ‘right’ and said she shouldn’t have taken the headrest covers without asking the people in front of her first.

“The way they just turn it towards them without asking,” one person commented.

“It’s not up to you to use it unless you ask the person in front,” someone else insisted.

“And I would take it right back because you didn’t ask for it,” another shared.

Some also argued that the hack, which can only be used on planes with headrest covers, is also unsanitary.

‘This is extremely rude. Those sheets are for hygienic reasons and you take them from the people in front of you,” a viewer responded.

Others didn’t understand what everyone in the comments was so angry about, saying it was “just a piece of cloth.”

One TikTok user suggested investing in airplane phone holders, saying the one she bought on Amazon only cost $12.

“Best purchase ever,” she wrote. “You should all have some.”
