The popular flavor is part of the Specially Selected range and an Aldi shopper posted a photo of the bags stacked up in the Specialbuys aisle.

The post quickly racked up over 2,000 comments and 900 likes, with eager, eager fans eager to get their hands on a bag.

One person said: “OMG, I wrote an email last month asking for them to be returned.”

Another added: “They are so nice, I was waiting for them to come back in.”

While a third said: “Oh my word.”

The chips were first launched in July last year, but it is not yet clear when they disappeared from the shelves.

The chips cost €1.09 for a pack of 150 grams, but be quick if you want to grab a bag.

Items on the special purchase aisle don't stick around for long, though fans are calling for the crips to be made a permanent feature.

One shopper said: “I saw them in my local Aldi yesterday and stocked up! They should definitely be a permanent fixture.”

In case you missed it, Sainsbury's is currently selling 110g bags of cheese and garlic bread chips from Bon Chance for a pricier £1.95.

Shopping Discounts – How to Save and Find the Best Bargains

In addition to the garlic bread flavor, Aldi has launched two other new flavors.

Crispy pizza lovers can choose from margherita and ndjua pizza flavours, also priced at £1.09 for a 150g pack.

What are Aldi Special Bargains?

Aldi introduces new Specialbuy items in the center aisles every Thursday and Sunday.

It's not always about food, it can be anything from DIY, kitchen utensils and garden furniture to sports and camping gear.

Shoppers can't buy Specialbuys online – they're only available in stores and you can find your nearest Aldi using the store locator on the website.

You can browse Specialbuys by picking up a brochure in store, browsing the digital brochure or signing up for the email list to get a taste.

But remember, once it's gone, it's gone, so you'll need to act quickly if you want to grab a bargain.

Meanwhile, we all know Aldi is great for dupes and we've got six of the best that could save your shopping spree by £13.

Fans of Irish cream may also want to pick up a tasty treat for Easter with a Cadbury Creme Egg inspired treat.

How to save on your supermarket shopping

There are plenty of ways to save money at your grocery store.

You can look for yellow or red stickers on products, which indicate when they are discounted.

If the food is fresh, eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money because you'll be less likely to make hasty purchases when you go to the grocery store.

Choosing your own brand can be an easy way to save hundreds of dollars a year on your food bill, too.

This means ditching the 'best' or 'luxury' products and instead opting for 'own' or value-for-money lines.

Many supermarkets have shaky fruit and vegetable programs where you can get cheap prices if they are misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you're on a low income and a parent, you could potentially get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers, which you can also use at the supermarket.

In addition, many municipalities offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
