BAFTAs have just named their 2024 nominees – here’s who gamers think will win

THE BAFTA Games Awards are the UK’s biggest gaming awards show and all the nominees have just been announced.

Similar to other award shows, Baldur’s Gate 3 received the most nominations, with 10 in total.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 wasn’t far behind with nine, while Alan Wake 2 received eight.

Here are all the nominees for the BAFTA Games Awards and who gamers think will win.

Best game

It may be a bit cliché, but just like with the other prizes, we predict that Baldur’s Gate 3 will take this show too.

Best British game

There are some great British games this year, but we think SeekerThe company’s innovative design will help it win this one.

With its interwoven story paths, we think Alan Wake2 will win Best Story.

Best technical achievement

All these games are technically impressive, but the physics of them Tears of the Kingdom‘s open world will likely cast this vote.

For all the reasons mentioned above, we expect Tears of the Kingdom to take this too.

With a unique art style and flashy rhythm, we think HiFi rush deserves this award.

Best Artistic Achievement

While we love the art style of Hi-Fi Rush, the deep, moody atmosphere of Alan Wake2 makes us think this will win.

Best audio performance

As you would expect from a rhythm game, the sound design is great HiFi rush is on point, with everything bouncing to the beat.

We are shocked that Hi-Fi Rush was not nominated for this Alan Wake2 will accept the prize instead.
