They reportedly ended their relationship after three months together.

But it seems like the writing was on the wall for Love Island’s Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, as there were several indications that the couple would go their separate ways.

A number of clues have emerged that the duo had hit a rocky spot in recent weeks, including solo work trips and cryptic social media posts.

The pair, who came in second place at the show’s finale in March, were living more than 200 miles apart, which Ron said was their biggest challenge.

Lana, 25, lives in Manchester, while Ron, 25, lives in Essex and despite their best efforts, they couldn’t find a way to make their relationship work in the long run.

Speaking to The Sun at Ashley Banjo’s fashion line launch party with Peacocks, Ron said, “It’s not forever. Any relationship at some point, it is normal to move in together.

“It’s weird that we get so many questions like ‘when are you moving in?’ and you’re like… bearing in mind we’ve only been together for a few months, one of her big goals and one of my big goals is to buy a house up there, and down here, have our own bases.

“But right now we’ve been gone for five or six weeks, I think we’re six or seven days apart, everyone made fun of me, I think, when I said I want to miss her.”

“When I’m not with her, it’s actually kind of hard. It is quite difficult.’

Eagle-eyed social media followers also noticed that Lana had deleted comments about Ron from her account.

She then wrote in an Instagram story, “I spent a few days healthy and took some time for myself, but I have a busy few weeks ahead of me so it’s back to that.”

Lana is currently on an influencer trip in Los Angeles with fashion brand Boohoo, which means she’s spending time away from Ron.

In March, it was reported that Lana and Ron’s romance was already “on the rocks” after they had a huge argument on the plane flying home from South Africa.

The couple confirmed to Maya on Aftersun that their argument was due to Ron having “too much to drink” and Lana having to take care of him.

MailOnline exclusively revealed that the Love Island stars split on Tuesday after three months together.

Ron became the first visually impaired contestant to play on Love Island and told MailOnline ahead of his appearance on the ITV dating show that he hoped to find a partner who could also be his best friend.

They finished in second place at the show’s final in March after being beaten for the £50,000 prize by winners Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan, who are still in a relationship.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Lana and Ron have really put everything into their romance and have been trying to pull it off for a while now.

“Unfortunately they have decided to part ways, a decision they made amicably and of course they still remain good friends.

“The commute from Manchester to Essex and back when they wanted to spend time together, and managing their work commitments just proved too difficult.”

Lana and Ron, 25, met on the winter series of Love Island, the first season hosted by Maya Jama.

They were paired together from the start and despite being turned heads by newcomers to the villa, the couple would always gravitate back to each other.

Lana responded by posting a love heart emoji, but behind the scenes, the pair struggled to make their romance work.

Before becoming famous on Love Island, Ron told MailOnline that he hoped to change the public’s perception of a stereotypical “Essex boy” and show that he was looking for true love in the villa.

He said: “The boys from Essex have a bad reputation for being quite toxic and this player idea, but that’s what sets me apart and makes me different because my parents gave me such a beautiful upbringing and they taught me morals.”

“Hopefully I am much more authentic, caring and respectful. I hope that side will catch up to Essex’s bravado.’

Ron added, “I want someone I don’t have to try my best to talk to all the time.

“I need to chat with someone I can talk to for hours like they’re my best friend and that’s the dynamic I want in a relationship.”

“From 18-23 I didn’t really have a lot of emotions when it came to letting myself be loved or opening myself up to a relationship. Now that I’m an adult, I want to show more of that side and be more vulnerable.’
