It was posted in response to a frustrated user who revealed an issue he was having with a low storage error message.

“The dreaded critical low storage error. It's driving me crazy,” they wrote.

“I've been trying to solve this for days and it's driving me crazy.

“I have a 4K firestick that is about a year or a year and a half old.

“I literally installed three apps. That's it. But apparently one day it decided it was completely full of memory, all five appearances of it,” they say continued.

The frustrated user then asked for “literal tips or advice” because he was desperate.

Several Amazon Fire TV Stick users tried to offer advice in the comments on the Reddit thread.

“At this point it would be easier to factory reset and start over. At least you only have three apps to re-download,” one person wrote.

“Factory reset,” another wrote, receiving five upvotes from people who agreed.

“Hmm, considering Amazon keeps sending out updates… that could be the cause of some of these issues,” another suggested.

To reset your Fire TV Stick to factory settings, you need to go to the Settings app.

Then click on My Fire TV and Reset to Factory Settings.

This should return your Fire TV Stick to the fresh state it was in when you purchased it.

A factory reset isn't a viable solution to every problem because you'll need to redownload your apps and sign in to your streaming services again.
