GOOGLE appears to be trying out a new form of virtual interactions called ‘audiomojis’ in its Android Phone app.
According to TheSpAndroid, these audio mojis allow users to respond to calls or texts with crazy sound-assisted animations.
The sound response feature is said to be similar to the response effects feature in Google Messages.
While Google Messages has received many new updates over the past year, it appears that Google has shifted its focus to the Phone app.
There are currently six reactions to choose from, including: drum roll, sad, applause, party blast, laugh, and poop.
But if it’s anything like messenger emojis, this is just the beginning.
Picture this: your friend makes an announcement, followed by an applause audio moji.
Or your brother or sister makes a joke alongside a comical poop sound.
The drum roll response was shared by TheSpAndroid, but the rest remains a secret for now.
Google has not publicly listed the feature.

But if it is in a recent beta version of the app, there is a possibility that it will be rolled out soon.
It’s unclear how exactly the feature will appear in the Phone app or how it will be used.
TheSpAndroid said that “the code doesn’t really provide many clues and not all the code is present in the beta version”.
However, the outlet suggested that the response could appear on the caller screen when you call someone, or it could only be available to users with the “Call Screening” feature.
