‘Away with them’ say experts who warn Android owners to uninstall 21 ‘spy’ apps

CYBERSECURITY experts have revealed 21 smartphone apps you should never download.

The list is described by specialists as the worst Android malware apps of the past year, according to Malware Fox.

“It is essential to know that most of these apps are also available on the Google Play Store.

“Unfortunately, with a library of millions of apps, it is quite challenging for Google to keep the Play Store free of malicious apps,” the Marlware Fox experts warn.

They recommended uninstalling all apps immediately if you see them on your phone.

It’s also worth flagging them to Google or an official app store if you come across them on the platform.

Some malicious apps can be distributed through third-party stores or via emails and text messages.

It’s best to always download from a reputable store and do your own research before downloading.

Apps on the list contain scam gaming content that could lure gamers.

The list also includes malicious emoji apps, photo editing apps, and malware-ridden messenger apps.

It is always advisable to read reviews of apps before downloading them.

Please note that some of these reviews may be fake.

If an app has only a small number of suspiciously positive reviews or a large number of negative reviews, it may be worth avoiding.

Keep in mind that just because an app is in the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store doesn’t necessarily make it safe.
