Ariana Grande fans react to EMOTIONAL video of her dancing with her nonna after singer reveals her grandmother’s role on new album Eternal Sunshine

Ariana Grande’s fans prepared for a wave of emotions on Tuesday when she revealed that her grandmother Marjorie will be featured on the closing track of her upcoming album Eternal Sunshine.

The 30-year-old singer and actress – who starred in a first teaser for her film adaptation of Wicked earlier this month – revealed the full track list for the LP after previously sharing partial updates.

The extensive song list includes a thirteenth and final track, Ordinary Things, featuring ‘nonna’, the Italian term for grandmother.

The hitmaker’s fans were overwhelmed after hearing about the fun feature film, and they started sharing a resurfaced video of Ariana dancing with her grandmother, which she originally posted in 2018.

The sweet black-and-white clip showed the two cutting a rug for Get Well Soon, which was featured on Ariana’s 2018 album Sweetener.

The full LP was released just days before she shared the dance clip.

Ariana has had blonde hair for the past few months — which she returned to for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked — but she also sported long blonde locks in the throwback video.

She sported platinum hair on the cover of her hit album Sweetener – which topped the Billboard 200 – and she carried the look over to her promotional stint for the LP.

Nonna was dressed in all black in the dance video and had a mop of curly white hair, while her granddaughter looked much more casual in a loose, dress-like sweater.

Her light blonde hair was styled in two pigtails that were tied into one ponytail that hung down her back.

They grinned from ear to ear as they danced around the room, with Marjorie playfully spinning Ariana around at one point.

“Claiming normal things ft nonna,” wrote one excited fan who reposted the video to X (formerly Twitter).

“No, because this video of Ariana and her nonna warms my heart :),” said another fan.

One user wrote that the song “makes me emotional and takes me back to this video…I love them.”

Another fan highlighted some other songs from Ariana’s previous albums with audio from Majorie.

“From daydreams to bloodline to regular stuff…nonna is a superstar,” they wrote.

Last October, Ariana joined forces with her brother Frankie Grande to celebrate Nonna’s 98th birthday.

In 2018, the singer received the Woman of the Year Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event, and later revealed that she and her grandmother got matching tattoos to celebrate the honor.

She revealed on social media at the time that Nonna had “Ciccio” inked on her left ring finger in tribute to her late husband Frank Grande, while the pop star had a moon and stars inked on the top of her left hand.

The Thank U, Next singer even brought her grandmother to the 2014 MTV VMAs as her plus one.

Tuesday’s announcement of the new tracklist for Eternal Sunshine — a reference to the sci-fi novel starring Jim Carrey — also came with what appeared to be a new cover art for the album.

The streaming listings for the upcoming LP have been updated with new artwork that appears to show Ariana from behind.

She had her long blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail, revealing a tattoo on her neck, and she rested her head on the shoulder of another blonde woman with a ponytail standing next to her.

Eternal Sunshine is scheduled for release on March 8, 2024.
