Expert praises Saka

Garth Crooks was full of praise for Bukayo Saka after he starred in Arsenal's 6-0 win over West Ham.

The BBC pundit said: “He has come a long way since missing his penalty in the Euro 2020 final.

the way the England international put his spot-kick past Alphonse Areola in the West Ham goal to put Arsenal 2-0 up seemed to indicate that Saka has not lost any sleep over penalty taking since that fateful night.

“I said then that the experience would make him a player, and that's what happened. Not only has he become one of the best players in the country, he is also Arsenal's most consistent goalscorer.

“Meanwhile, as emphatic as their win against the Hammers was, Arsenal cannot win the title without a top-class natural player at centre-forward, and they don't have one.”

Henry weighs the chances of the Champions League

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was shocked to hear that bookmakers give the Gunners the same odds of winning the Champions League as Real Madrid.

“Wow,” Henry replied after being told Arsenal have the same chances as Real Madrid.

On whether it's exaggerated: “I don't know about the odds. I don't do odds. It will be a difficult match against Porto away. If we get through that well, we can beat them at home.

“There was a huge decision about it. Do Arsenal need a number nine? What they had to do was put the ball in the back of the net. If Arsenal do that, it will be 6-0. It could have been the same in any match. They didn't do it in the cup against Liverpool. They did that, with a little help, in the Liverpool competition.

“But if Arsenal are on point and put the ball in the back of the net, it doesn't matter who's playing. Trossard will score. Declan Rice has scored. Gabriel has scored. It doesn't really matter. If we convert our chances into goals , we will be a very difficult team to beat.”

Mbappe 'willing to go to Arsenal'

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly ready to sign for Arsenal so he can follow in the footsteps of his hero Thierry Henry.

However, this update from The Independent also adds that PSG chiefs still expect Mbappe to join Madrid in the summer.

But it is believed Madrid's proposal was lower than what they put on the table for the striker two years ago, with Mbappe still on the fence over the move.
