The Silentnight Teddy Fleece blanket attaches to your bed and warms up as soon as it is connected.

The handy device costs just 1 cent per hour to use, meaning you don’t have to turn on the heating.

One customer recently spotted a single size of the blanket in their local Asda for the price of £15, saving them 50% off.

They posted their find on the website Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Groupwhich has since racked up dozens of likes and comments.

It appears the blanket is only available to purchase in the one Asda store, as the retailer’s website has the same size blanket for £30, not £15.

Shoppers can pick it up in a double version for £35, while the king-size costs £40.

Customers can use click-and-collect for free or order via home delivery from €3.50.

It may be worth calling your local Asda to see if they have reduced prices on the blankets.

The blanket comes with many five-star reviews on Asda’s website and an overall rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars.

A satisfied customer said: “Beautiful and cozy electric blanket, well-known brand and good value for money.”

How else can you save money on your energy bill?

Using an electric blanket instead of a heater is just one way to save money on your energy bills, even as spring arrives.

According to one expert, you’ll want to start by turning off your central heating on the right date: March 31.

This marks the arrival of British Summer Time, although it is of course up to you to decide on which date you should switch off your radiators.

You can do it sooner and save more money, or wait until April if you are a household that needs the heating for some reason, for example because you are housing someone with a disability.

If you work at British Gas and have a smart meter, you may also be able to take part in the energy company’s ‘PeakSave’ scheme.

This gives you a 50% discount on electricity on Sundays between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. until the end of the month.

In the meantime, you may be able to receive free home insulation or have other energy-saving measures installed in your home through the Energy Company Obligation.

The scheme is designed to help low-income households with certain benefits, such as Universal Credit, Child Benefit and Housing Benefit.

The Government previously told The Sun that households eligible for the scheme would save around £600 to £700 on their bills each year after energy saving measures were put in place.

More information about the scheme can be found on the government website.

Or you can apply for help through the Household Support Fund, which will now close six months later than planned after the government announced its extension in the spring budget.

Assistance is offered per municipality, but you are usually eligible if you have a low income or low benefits.

For more information, please contact your municipality. You can find these using the government’s municipality finder.
