Supermarket giant Asda is now selling its own compact 1.8 liter slow cooker for just £10, reduced from £15.

The deal was spotted by a bargain hunter who shared it on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to comment, with one writing: “Definitely worth it.”

Another said: “I love it! You don't always need a big one.”

Although the slow cooker is listed online, it can't be ordered, so you'll have to visit your local store if you want to pick one up.

You can find your nearest Asda using the store locator on its website.

Many social media users rushed to tag their friends to let them know about the bargain.

We looked online to see if we could see a slow cooker on offer for £10 or less, but we couldn't find one.

The next cheapest gadget we could find was a £15 slow cooker at Argos, which is exactly the same price as Asda's gadget.

Robert Dyas is selling a Swan slow cooker for £14.99, but it's slightly smaller than the Asda machine at 1.5 litres.

But make sure you shop around before purchasing one, just in case we've missed a bargain.

It's always good to shop around to make sure you get the cheapest deal and the right product for you.

You can use comparison sites such as Google Shopping, where you can see the prices of products from different stores.

How much do slow cookers cost to run?

Slow cookers can be a good investment because they are easy to use and can be left alone.

They are also very energy efficient and can reduce your bills.

Daewoo claims its slow cookers can save you up to 87.5% compared to cooking with a conventional oven.

To calculate the cost of preparing your meal, make this equation: cost = power (kilowatt) x cost of one kWh (pence) x the length of time (just the one-time meal, or more than a week or month.)

For example, the Daewoo slow cooker would cost about 38 cents to run for eight hours.

Make sure you don't run your slow cooker longer than necessary to maximize your savings.

Set it to the lowest heat setting when you leave the house, as it will use less energy while cooking for a longer period of time.
