An angry Swiftie has taken to social media to hit out at another Taylor Swift fan’s “selfish” behavior during an emotional song performance in Melbourne.

The 34-year-old superstar wowed 96,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last week with a moving performance of her emotional ballad Tolerate It.

However, one fan was unimpressed as another Swiftie broadcast the song’s lyrics off-key, documenting the infuriating moment on TikTok.

In the clip, Taylor’s voice is drowned out by the sound of the fan screaming along to the song, much to the chagrin of a ticket holder.

“Honestly I don’t care how much you love the song, concerts are a public space and the people around you pay a lot of money,” the irritated fan captioned the video.

‘Don’t be selfish. Please observe concert etiquette.โ€

The user’s followers were divided over the images, with some sharing their approval while others pointed out that concerts are a communal atmosphere.

‘This makes me so sad. It’s literally how to act at concerts,โ€ one fan snapped.

โ€œYou gotta be fun at parties,โ€ a second person added, while a third user interjected: โ€œIf you want a silent concert, listen to your Spotify playlist.โ€

However, others agreed with Rose, saying the loud Swifties affected the concert experience.

โ€œThere’s a difference between singing loudly and screaming,โ€ one person wrote.

“Imagine this is your favorite song and you can’t hear a single word because someone is doing this,” another user commented.

It comes after Swift was left speechless and moved following a rousing reception from the crowd at her second evening performance in Sydney on Saturday.

The Shake It Off hitmaker clutched her chest and mouthed “Oh my god” during a four-minute standing ovation at Accor Stadium.

Swift will next take to the stage at Accor Stadium on Sunday evening before wrapping up the Australian leg of her Eras Tour concerts on Monday.
