Union Ayush and Health Ministers announce the establishment of the Ayush-ICMR Advanced Center for Integrative Health Research (AI-ACIHR) at select AIIMS across the country.
Integrative health research: Minister for AYUSH and Ports Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya will on Monday launch the Ayush-ICMR Advanced Center for 5 Integrative Health Research (AI-ACIHR) at 4 selected AIIMS and multi-centre clinical trials on anemia. Both ministers will also launch the Indian Public Health Standards for Healthcare Facilities in Ayush and participate in the 27th Convocation of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth.

Announcement about a multicenter clinical trial in anemia
CCRAS under the Ministry of Ayush and ICMR has conducted a study on anemia titled “Efficiency and safety of Punarnavadi Mandura alone and in combination with Drakshavaleha compared with iron-folic acid in the treatment of moderate iron deficiency anemia in non-pregnant women in the reproductive age. age group: a three-arm, multicenter, community-based randomized controlled trial. “The study will be conducted at 8 different locations namely “MGIMS Wardha, AIIMS Jodhpur, NITM Bengaluru, RIMS Ranchi, KEM Hospital Research Centre, AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Bibinagar”.
The launch of Indian Public Health Standards for Healthcare Facilities in Ayush
The Indian Public Health Standards for Ayush Healthcare Facilities aims to establish uniform standards and quality infrastructure, human resources, medicines, etc. By adopting these standards, the states and colleges will be able to extend quality Ayush healthcare services to the deserving population. The fundamental objective is to increase preventive, promotional, curative, palliative and rehabilitation services within the domain of public health, emphasizing uncompromising quality. A central principle within the National Health Policy (NHP) 2017 is the integration of pluralism.
