‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 9 Finale: Which Couple Got Married?

The Bachelor in paradise The season 9 finale wouldn’t have been complete without a twist Kenny Brasch And Mari Pepijn-Solis returned to the beach to get married.

The ABC reality show teased for months that a couple would tie the knot during the Thursday, December 7, episode, but instead of a couple from this season making things official, Kenny, 42, and Mari, 27 – who got engaged during season 7 in 2021 – invited the cast to their wedding in Mexico.

Naturally, BiP‘s host Jesse Palmer led the ceremony and joked that “Mari arrived [on the beach] with an open heart,” while Kenny “arrived completely naked” – literally. Jesse noted that despite their “ups and downs” on the beach, the duo “found someone who refused to give up on them.”

The current paradise participants were shown with tears in their eyes as Kenny and Mari shared their vows.

“We’ve been together almost every day since we left Paradise and the more time we spend together, the more time I fell in love with you,” Kenny said in part. “I promise that for the rest of our lives, or at least the rest of my life, I will be by your side, no matter what. That’s an old man joke. But at the end of the day, we have so much history here paradise. We met here, we got engaged here and now we’re getting married here. I love you now and forever and I know that together we will be the greatest team the world has ever seen.

Mari gushed about the love she has for her “sweet, loving and gentle” husband.

“Today, and every day for the rest of my life, I promise to put all my efforts into the health and strength of our marriage,” she continued. “I promise to love you faithfully, always, through it all – the good days, the bad days, rain or shine, until the end of time.”

Although Mari and Kenny kept their wedding in Mexico a secret until they were deployed, they previously revealed that they were planning multiple weddings. “We’re actually going to do two events. We are having our main wedding in Puerto Rico. That’s where I come from,” she shared exclusively We weekly in November 2022. “So it will be a small, intimate, mainly family [and] good friends. And later we will have a bigger wedding in Chicago so everyone can come and celebrate with us.”

Three months later, Mari confirmed she was “making progress” on the event. “It was a lot of fun planning the wedding. I think we’re still in the preliminary stages, we’re still trying to find some suppliers and get the most important things booked,” she shared. Often planning a wedding can be boring and stressful and as much work as it is, I think we just try to have a good time with it.”

Mari also announced that she and Kenny would tie the knot for the first time in Puerto Rico in November. “That’s where I come from. A lot of my family is still there, so it’s exactly what I always envisioned for my wedding. I’m really happy that he’s willing to help me in that regard,” she explained, adding that the duo had no problem compromising on their plans for the ceremonies.

The couple will have another wedding later in March 2024 in Chicago, where they live. “We have multiple looks! Since we have two weddings, we have to pull out all the stops,” she teased. “It was such a good experience. I actually went [wedding dress shopping] with Kenny’s mother and sister. My mother lives abroad, so unfortunately she couldn’t be there in person. But I feel so lucky that his family is so hospitable and so loving that they would do something like this for me – [it’s] very special.”

Before the Mexico ceremony that was broadcast on the Bachelor in paradise finale, Mari confirmed via Instagram that she and Kenny officially got married in Puerto Rico on November 11.
