BAILEY PEACOCK-FARRELL was taken to hospital yesterday after suffering a serious cut during a match.
The 27-year-old Burnley goalkeeper was loaned to the Danish AGF this season.
During a match against Odense, the Northern Ireland international suffered brutal injuries to his head and nose.
After the match, Peacock-Farrell shared a series of photos on his Instagram account, including one from his hospital bed.
In another, he showed a gruesome gash on the top of his head.
He captioned his post: “Some stitches, a broken nose and a little less hair on top. The benefits of being a GK.
“Thanks for all the sweet messages. Enjoy the swipe.”
Peacock-Farrell subsequently received many well wishes on social media.
One fan said: “Owch. Get well soon Bailey. I really hope to see you back at Burnley. We really need you.”
While a second wrote: “Tough guy, hope you’ll be back on the pitch soon.”
Sheffield Wednesday ace Liam Palmer added: “Quick recovery mate.”
And fellow members of the goalkeepers’ union also wished him well, with West Brom stopper Alex Palmer writing: “Jesus! Get well, mate.”
While Blackburn’s Aynsley Pears added: “Rest up mate all the best.”
Peacock-Farrell started his career as a teenager at Leeds and went on to make 41 appearances for the Whites.
He then moved to Burnley in 2019, where he made a total of 24 appearances for the Clarets, helping them to the Championship title last season.
Following Vincent Kompany’s takeover of James Trafford last summer, Peacock-Farrell moved to AGF on loan.
