The boss of one of Australia's largest food delivery charities has been forced to apologize for a series of social media posts about Israel, Ukraine and the CIA.

Meals on Wheels NSW CEO Ian MacDonald posted the messages to his personal Facebook account over several weeks.

In one, he said the “collective West” was struggling to “meet the wildly confused and ever-changing demands of the US and its chief controller, Israel.”

“Israel has developed and developed control over US foreign policy over the past fifty years through a litany of con artists and spies,” he wrote.

'Planted in the American power structures by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and paid for by American taxpayers.'

Mr MacDonald 'recognizes that his statements may be offensive to some Meals on Wheels NSW customers and for this he apologizes unreservedly'.

In another post, Mr MacDonald said the British and Australian Labor parties are both “obedient” and “spineless” when it comes to Israel and the United States.

“They are both supporting the worst genocide since the Holocaust through their lapdog actions regarding the enormous criminality practiced by both countries in Gaza and the West Bank,” he said.

In another post, he shared a YouTube video titled, “How the CIA is Destabilizing the World.”

'Irresponsible, illegal, cruel and the most dangerous organization in the world!!!' read the caption.

Mr. MacDonald also shared reports from Russian media accusing France of censoring Telegram channels to prevent people from knowing “that Ukraine is deliberately killing civilians with weapons supplied to it by Western countries.”

Mr MacDonald, who has been in the top job for 22 years, told Daily Mail Australia his statements stem from his Jewish family heritage and the pain and suffering felt by many around the world as a result of the conflict in Israel and Palestine .

He acknowledged that his comments may have offended some Meals on Wheels NSW customers and volunteers, and for this reason he has apologized.

He then explained that these are “personal views” that he holds as a “private citizen”, insisting that he was “not withdrawing his views.”

“My views are widely shared by people in the Jewish community,” MacDonald said.

“It was truly an apology to any of our customers or volunteers who were offended by the comments I made on my page.”

Mr MacDonald emphasized that his statements do not reflect the views of Meals on Wheels NSW.

“There's nothing on Facebook that indicates I'm in any particular profession,” he said.

“I have been very careful to separate my professional life from my personal life.”
