A former Britain’s Got Talent finalist has announced her engagement, ten years after wowing audiences on the ITV show with her musical talent.

Violinist Lettice Rowbotham, who finished the eight series in eighth place, is engaged to long-term partner Charlie Stoop.

Charlie got down on one knee in front of the couple’s two children: daughter Peachess, three, and son Ptolemy, one.

Lettice currently performs weekly at a restaurant in Barbados, where Charlie proposed.

Her engagement ring, made by famed jeweler ChloBo, features a blue Topaz stone and white pear-shaped diamonds on either side, which thoughtfully resemble a violin.

Lettice and Charlie held a holiday party for family and close friends at a plantation-style vacation home on the island.

The musician appeared on BGT in 2014, with the series ultimately won by Collabro, a musical theater group.

Before appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, the Royal College of Music graduate performed for Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Prince Charles.

Lettice’s mother is a renowned portrait painter whose work has been collected by the royal family.

Sherree Valentine Daines’ impressionist paintings can sell for up to £10,000 each and have been exhibited at the Tate and the Barbican in London.

Thanks to Sherree’s success, Lettice went to the £30,000-a-year Purcell School of Music in Bushey, Hertfordshire, and Charterhouse in Godalming, Surrey, where the daily fee is more than £20,000.

Due to her posh background, Lettice was previously headhunted to appear in Made In Chelsea, but she turned this down to focus on music.

Lettice performs at One Eleven East beach restaurant, Barbados, on Thursday from 7pm. Tickets are available on the restaurant’s website.

During her time on the show, former judge David Walliams, who recently settled a lawsuit with BGT, described her as the ‘poshest’ auditionee.

Lettice took issue with the label, saying, “I’ve never really considered myself chic, it’s mostly about talent.”

The star was encouraged to audition by her younger sisters Bunty, 19, and Felicity, 16, who had faith in her talent.

About her then-hopes for the future, she said: “I want to be as big as Beyonce, have my own tour and merchandise.”
