How can I check if BT email is unavailable?

One of the direct ways to find out if BT mail is down for everyone (and not just you) is to check social media like X, formerly known as Twitter.

BT can also post updates to its own X account, where you can check them @bt_nl.

Am I entitled to compensation?

You may be entitled to compensation if you have problems with your internet, calling or mobile services.

Internet companies usually pay £9.33 for each day that broadband and home phone services are not repaired after two full days without service.

They will also pay £25 for each missed appointment, or for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice, plus £5 for each calendar day of delay until the start of the new service.
