Bunnings is getting a Bluey-themed makeover after a VERY similar hardware store appeared on the show – and is even going to change its name
Several Bunnings stores across Australia are undergoing a makeover this month in honor of the popular cartoon Bluey and the very similar hardware store it features.
Bunnings locations in Cannington in Western Australia, Blacktown in New South Wales, Glenorchy in Tasmania, Carrum Downs in Victoria and Munno Parra in South Australia will all be transformed to match the fictional 'Hammerbarn' store.
The show was made in Queensland, with the original Bunnings said to have been the inspiration for the show's, in the Brisbane suburb of Keperra, and also received the cartoon conversion.

Every weekend this month, stores will be hosting Bluey themed DIY workshops for kids, as well as Bluey and Bingo meet-and-greets.
Limited edition merchandise will also hit Hammerbarn shelves.
'Bluey is such an iconic brand. Customers love it, kids love it, families love it,” said Ryan Baker, head of customer at Bunnings.
The show is one of Australia's biggest media exports, broadcast in 60 countries
The makeover will last until the end of the month with activities every weekend
Hammerbarn first appears on the show in the second episode of season two, when the Heeler family visits to buy a pizza oven.
It airs on the ABC and is the network's most successful show ever.
Bluey is one of Australia's biggest media exports, watched by families in more than 60 countries and winning an International Emmy Kids Award in 2019.
