The Reddit user shared photos of her Skims-style dress: a fitted, strappy slip dress with an open back.

The maxi dress had a round neckline with crossed straps on the back and ruffles.

The fashion fan explains: “I don’t have much time to order a dress. The wedding is this weekend, there is a store near me and they have this dress that I like.

“But I know people in this store usually buy prom dresses.”

She then wondered, “I’ve never been to a wedding, would this look weird?”

The post was shared just two days ago, but quickly received a lot of backlash from Reddit users, claiming that the dress is inappropriate for a wedding.
