Chocolate lovers are in for a real treat this Easter as Cadbury launches a variant of a much-loved confectionery product, but with an egg twist.

The renowned Caramac bar was a Nestlé product and had been a fan favorite since the 1950s, but was discontinued last year due to low sales figures.

Known for its signature caramel flavor and golden appearance, Caramac's spin-off Caramilk has been popularized by Cadbury over the years – and this Easter it's about to arrive in egg form.

Two months before Easter falls on March 29, a large Cadbury Caramilk egg has hit supermarket shelves, meaning fans have plenty of time to enjoy this delicious treat.

The golden Easter snack contains a large 150g caramel boulder and a 28g bar of caramel, and can be bought for £3.00 from Tesco.

a after where the new Easter egg was on display was shared by Newfoodsuk on Facebook yesterday, along with the caption: 'New Cadbury Caramilk Chocolate Easter Egg now available at Tesco!!'

More than 200 fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the remastered product, with many already on the hunt for the caramel-flavored egg.

One person excitedly wrote: “I need one of these,” while another said: “What a great flavor they've made now that the real thing is gone.”

One customer, who had already found and enjoyed the Easter treat, reported, “I tried it and loved it!”

A fourth hopeful Caramac fan wrote: “Makes it okay to get rid of the chocolate bar.”

This comes after a survey found that discontinued chocolate bars are keen to make a comeback in 2022.

Many Britons know the heartache when their favorite chocolate disappears from supermarket shelves, with brands regularly cutting their offerings to make way for new ones.

A Jackpotjoy survey of 2,000 British adults revealed which treats from Christmases past Brits would like to see in their 'dream' selection box.

The survey found that 8 percent would like to see the Cadbury Dream, a white chocolate bar only available in B&M, return in miniature form.

Meanwhile, others were craving the Echo bar, as well as the Mars Delight.

Cadbury Dream was launched in Australia and New Zealand in 2001 and in Britain a year later.

It was discontinued not long after, returning briefly in 2019 as 'Cadbury White'.

According to the survey, the country also misses Cadbury Marble immensely, with 7.9 percent voting in favor of the bar's return.

The treat, which contained a mixture of milk chocolate and white chocolate with a hazelnut praline center, is only available in Australia and was discontinued in 2012.
