Queen Camilla gave a sweet nod to King Charles as she wore a pair of £38,000 earrings that debuted at their wedding during today’s Remembrance Day service.

The Queen joined the King and other senior members of the Royal Family at the Cenotaph at 11am to pay tribute to Britons who died during the war.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also attended the two minutes’ silence, as did Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Opposition Leader Sir Keir Starmer.

Traditionally, Camilla chose to wear black on Remembrance Day as she stood with her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton on a balcony near The Cenotaph.

Camilla wore a sleek black coat, which she accessorized with a statement piece, tilted hat and a pair of favorite earrings that she debuted on her wedding day in 2005.

The jewels are clearly of sentimental value to the Queen, who often wears them to royal engagements and evening receptions.

Of course, Camilla also added a poppy for Remembrance Day. She chose to wear just one, while Kate wore three, as she usually does.

Today was the first memorial service led by King Charles since his and Camilla’s coronation in May.

He led the nation in a two-minute silence to remember Britain’s war dead, before laying the first of many wreaths at the Cenotaph.

A wreath was also laid at the monument on behalf of the Queen by Major Ollie Plunket, The Rifles, equerry to Camilla, Queen Consort.

Camilla watched the memorial service from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, next to the Princess of Wales.

Camilla’s wreath was very similar to the one made for the Queen Mother, Buckingham Palace said.

The Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal also laid wreaths at the cenotaph.

Senior politicians including Rishi Sunak, Sir Keir Starmer, Sir Ed Davey, James Cleverly and Suella Braverman have also gathered near the Cenotaph. Behind them were former Prime Ministers Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Theresa May, Sir Tony Blair and Sir John Major.

Meanwhile, some 10,000 veterans and 800 military personnel from all three services marched past the Cenotaph.
