The news is by your side.

I'm a gaming fanatic and these cheap earbuds have changed the way I play

WHEN I play games, more often than not I play with the sound completely turned off.

I have some hearing loss and I want to keep my ear open while playing to know if I need to take action.

This is clearly not the best way to play, and I've always wondered what it would be like to immerse yourself in a game.

That's why, when I was presented with a pair of Canyon Doublebee GTWS-2 gaming earbuds for review, I jumped at the chance to try them out.

I was immediately drawn to the design, which features an unusual and satisfying revolving door case that opens like a bee in flight.

The charging case is also very small and can easily fit in the palm of your hand, but the bright color makes it easy to find.

There's a number on the top of the case that lets you know when it needs to be charged, although I could have done that without all the flashing multi-colored LEDs.

The earbuds are very reasonably priced (€30) and promise extremely low latency as they are designed for gaming.

When I tested them, I discovered that this wasn't just an empty promise, as the sound came through the earbuds as quickly as it would straight from the TV.

The sound quality is also quite good, if not incredible, but probably the best you get for the price.

My problem with earbuds in general is that my ears are quite small, and they always hurt when I wear these types of earbuds.

This was still the case here, but I'd say it was better than most earbuds, and my small ears provided decent noise cancellation.

There have been some complaints about battery life, but I didn't find this to be an issue in my testing.

I played sessions of up to six hours on the Nintendo Switch, and they never ran out of power, even though I don't know how much battery was left.

My biggest problem was connection issues. The earbuds would struggle to connect when I was about ten feet away from the console.

I also found that I often had to put the earbuds in the case to reset them when I wanted to connect, and it could take a few tries.

If you're looking for exceptional sound quality, you won't find it here, but you will find incredible value for money.

Not only are they one of the cheaper earbuds on the market, but they also offer reasonable quality and some features you wouldn't expect at this price.

Above all, the extremely low latency will be the biggest appeal to budget gamers, and I find myself reaching for this whenever I want to play.
