Center issues advisory for Indians traveling to or based in Myanmar's Rakhine State

New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday issued an advisory for Indian nationals traveling to or based in Myanmar's Rakhine State. “Given the deteriorating security situation, disruption of telecommunications assets including landlines, and severe shortages of essential commodities, all Indian citizens are advised not to travel to Myanmar's Rakhine State. The Indian citizens already in Rakhine State are advised to leave the state immediately,” MEA said in the statement.
