Challengers trailer out: Zendaya is a marvel in Luca Guadagnino’s latest

When we talk about sports movies, how can we not mention Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming movie, Challengers. Starring Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, the film will hit theaters September 15. The film marks Zendaya’s first collaboration with Luca Guadagnino. The actor is on a roll with her powerful characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dune. Challengers promises to be another great performance from her.

What is Challengers about?

Challengers, directed by Luca Guadagnino, is an upcoming American romantic sports comedy-drama where past meets present and tensions run high both on and off the tennis court. Challengers follows three players who have known each other since they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament and rekindle old rivalries and tensions. Cast of Challengers:

Challengers stars Zendaya as the protagonist. She plays the role of Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach who is unapologetic for her behavior on and off the court. West Side Story star Mike Faist plays her husband. Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes an astonishing turn when he faces the unsuccessful Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend. Patrick is played by Josh O’Connor. The actor is known for his work in the Netflix series The Crown. In the film, Zendaya’s character will figure out how far she can go to win.

Justin Kuritzkes wrote the screenplay for Challengers. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are responsible for the music. Challengers is produced by Amy Pascal, Zendaya, Luca Guadagnino and Rachel O’Connor.

Zendaya will appear in Euphoria Season 3. She also has Dune 2 in her cat. Dune 2 also stars Timothée Chalamet.
