Cheltenham Festival 2024 full schedule and TV guide: how to watch every race

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL 2024 starts on Tuesday 12 March 2024 and the best National Hunt horses in Great Britain and Ireland will take to the field.

Thousands of spectators will attend the most prestigious show jumping competition of the season.

There will be 28 races during the four-day horse racing spectacle, with one ‘main race’ taking place each day.

The Champion Hurdle will feature on the opening day, followed by the Queen Mother Champion Chase on Wednesday.

On the penultimate day of the festival, the Stayers’ Hurdle will be the main race before the iconic Cheltenham Gold Cup takes the nation by storm on the final day (Friday).

How to watch every race at Cheltenham Festival 2024

ITV will broadcast the first five races of each day at Cheltenham Festival, with coverage between 1pm and 4.30pm.

The last two races of each day can be viewed on Racing TV.

Who are the ITV presenters for Cheltenham Festival 2024?

The presenter of the week is, as always, former Sky Sports Football player Ed Chamberlain.

He will be joined by legendary jockeys Ruby Walsh and Sir AP McCoy.

Mick Fitzgerald, Luke Harvey, Megan Nicholls and Alice Plunkett will also be on hand to provide expert insight into the latest happenings throughout the week.

On the tracks, Richi Persad and Matt Chapman will speak to jockeys, trainers and fans.

Brian Gleeson will narrate all the action from the betting ring and Oli Bell, who hosts Social Stable, will join viewers on TV.

Commentary will be, as usual, Kevin Blake, Brough Scott and Richard Hoiles.

Every day at 8.30am on ITV, the opening show will be presented by Oli Bell, who will be joined by Sally Ann Grassick and Kevin Blake, Sir AP McCoy, Ruby Walsh, Megan Nicholls, Mick Fitzgerald, Rishi Persad and Luke Harvey Chapman.
