Galopin Des Champs could be another double Gold Cup winner for Willie Mullins, writes Sun Racing tipster Templegate.

He was fantastic when he won this race by seven lengths 12 months ago after a brilliant show jumping round.

It seemed the race had left its mark as he was beaten twice by Fastorslow at Punchestown after his exploits at Cheltenham.

But he put those worries to bed in style as he destroyed his rivals to land the Savills Chase by 23 lengths at Christmas.

He didn’t have to hit those highs when he won the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown last month and he can show his true colors here.

Fastorslow is respected for beating the champion twice but was no match for him at the Dublin Racing Festival.

He was a close second in Ultima last year, so there is no real fear of him being on the track. He has had wind surgery since his last run, which could improve things.

This step up in distance could help Gerri Colombe, who finished second in the Savills.

He is not the fastest, but continues to gallop and will come up the hill with power.
