New Delhi: A Class 12 student was allegedly attacked and had his finger chopped off by his senior for talking to a female classmate in Delhi’s Dwarka South, police said on Friday. The suspect had studied at the same school and had already graduated.

The alleged incident took place on October 21. The victim was so scared he didn’t tell his parents about the assault and claimed his finger was chopped off by a motorcycle chain, police said.

On Friday, he disclosed the incident to his parents, who filed a complaint with the police. An FIR has been registered in this regard, she added.

The victim told police the suspect met him outside the school and took him to a park. The suspect objected to the victim’s friendship with a student in the boy’s class and attacked him with a rock.

An FIR has been registered and the allegations are being verified, police said.
