Chaos at Commonwealth Bank: Customers can’t access their accounts, app doesn’t work: ‘I can’t access my money’

A major Commonwealth Bank failure has left millions of Australians unable to access or transfer money.

Customers received a “current balance not available” notification Monday morning when they tried to access the app.

Netbank users are also unable to access their accounts or transfer money online.

The Commsec app is also down for many customers, with others reporting that ATMs have also been affected.

The Commonwealth Bank has launched an emergency investigation into the outage.

“We are aware that some customers are having issues accessing some of our services and we are urgently investigating this,” the bank wrote on social media.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We will provide an update shortly.’

The bank’s update sparked a furious backlash from thousands of Aussies who were abandoned and unable to pay

“Super frustrating that I can’t do anything this morning because I don’t have money to complete tasks,” said one.

“Typically this happens on a Monday morning, what absolute chaos,” a second added.

“I can’t access my money,” said another.
