The Notorious' big announcement of a June New Year's Eve return was recently shot down by White, who is a autumn comeback was lurking.

But White has now cast further doubt on the Irishman's comeback, tellingly Kevin Iole: 'Only Conor knows [when he’s ready].

“These are questions for Conor McGregor, not for me. I know he's training. I don't know what level of training he does.”

McGregor, 35, has not fought since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier almost three years ago.

The former simultaneous two-division champion underwent a difficult rehabilitation to regain fitness and is back to sparring, although White remains in the dark about the intensity of his kicks with his once-broken leg.

He admitted: “I don't know what level he's kicking at now. I don't know anything about that.

“I need to know that the man is in a full camp and that he is ready to go. There's a Conor McGregor movie coming out.

“He has businesses that he built. It's a very different dynamic when you're dealing with someone who has this kind of business money.”

On the Dubliner's broken leg, he added: “He's coming back from one of the worst injuries you can come back from.

“How long was Anderson Silva out when he did it? How long was Chris Weidman out when he did it?

“The guys who break that bone [are out a long time]so that's a problem, No. 1.”

McGregor's millions in the bank have long had MMA fans wondering about his motivation for fighting.

And White has once again claimed that the promotion's poster boy no longer needs to grace the octagon.

The veteran promoter said: “Conor McGregor doesn't need the bloody money.

“So if you don't need the money, it's not that easy.

“Khabib [Nurmagomedov] doesn't need the money – Khabib is retired.”
