Country music star Chris Young was arrested at a Nashville bar after confronting alcohol enforcement officers and “punching” an officer, police say.

Chris Young, 38, was at Tin Roof, a bar on Demonbreun Street in Midtown Nashville, on Monday night.

Around 8:30 p.m., Alcoholic Beverage Commission officers were conducting a compliance check at Tin Roof when they encountered the singer sitting at the bar, the arrest affidavit said.

After checking his identification, Young — who is known for a string of No. 1 hits and winning the Nashville Star reality show — allegedly followed the officers and asked them questions before recording them on his camera.

When the officers went to the next bar, Dawg House, to continue their ID checks, Young followed them with his group of people as the alleged confrontation ensued.

The star then tried to prevent the officers from leaving by reaching out and “hitting” one of the officers, the affidavit said.

“As he walked out the door, Mr. Young reached out his hands to prevent me from leaving the bar and punched me on the shoulder,” the statement said.

“I then pushed Mr. Young to create distance because I had no idea who Mr. Young was or what he had.”

Young reportedly began walking backwards and refused to comply with officers, which led to him being handcuffed.

The affidavit claims the country singer slurred his words while his eyes were bloodshot and watery.

After Young's disorderly conduct at the bar, the atmosphere became “hostile,” the report said.

Young was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

He has since been released.
