Cristiano Ronaldo's sister shares throwback photos in very gushing tribute to celebrate his 39th birthday

Cristiano Ronaldo's sister has given a glimpse of their close bond in a series of throwback snaps to celebrate his 39th birthday.

Singer Katia Aveiro, 46, from Madeira, shared the tribute to her sibling on Instagram, saying he is the “idol of so many” and saying his life is like a “movie”.

She shared throwback photos and caused up a storm with her younger brother over the years.

The message read: 'The story of your life is already a movie, a real movie. Who would have thought?'

She said that despite the “joys and sorrows, the victories and the losses that will mark us forever,” she had her brother by her side “makes everything less difficult'.

“You were destined to come and make a difference in the lives of so many,” she added. Celebrating your birthday is a blessing and a joy. Thank God for your life and health.'

She continued: “Who would have thought that the boy born there in that neighborhood of Quinta do Falcão in a parish of Santo António on the island of Madeira would inspire a nation. You are so proud to be part of your story, today you are here and you have so much to say!!

'39 years later it is our boy's birthday… The father, the son, the brother, the friend, the uncle and the idol of so many.

'God has always been the commander of your path and your route. Congratulations brother!

'More health, more wisdom, more years and more achievements is what I wish for you.'

The proud sister gushed over her brother, saying she hopes he continues to be an “enlightened person who illuminates our lives.”

It comes after she continued to staunchly defend her younger brother by co-signing a social media post that appeared to take a swipe at Lionel Messi after his Ballon d'Or win last year.

The Argentine took home a record-breaking eighth trophy at a ceremony in Paris after starring for his national team as they won the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The triumph left Messi three times ahead of his old rival, who won the last of his five Ballon d'Or awards in 2017. While many praised the 36-year-old for the unprecedented achievement, others claimed the award was little more than a lifetime achievement award.

Katia seemed to agree with the latter when she commented on a social media post shortly after the ceremony praising the Portuguese great's exploits.

The image was captioned: “Earned, not given.” In an apparent dig at the former Barcelona star who has claimed at least two somewhat controversial trophies in recent years.

She labeled Cristiano “the idol of so many” and said his life is like a “movie.”

Aveiro liked the post and responded with five clapping emojis – possibly as a nod to her brother's own grades or simply to emphasize how much she supported the message.

It is not the first time that the Portuguese pop singer has intervened in the eternal debate about modern football. Last year she labeled the World Cup as 'the worst ever' in a dramatic post on social media.

She wrote: 'The worst World Cup of all time', before ultimately praising the victorious South American side by adding: 'Thankfully that gave us a great final. What a match. Congratulations to Argentina.”

Aveiro had previously urged Ronaldo to leave the World Cup and come home to a place where he experiences 'all gratitude and not ingratitude' after his relegation to the Portuguese bench during the tournament.
