A THRIFTY woman was fooled when she spotted a skirt suit on the racks.
She said the $50 set from the thrift store left her shocked by the brand on the label.
Madison (@madslantis) filmed himself while shopping the racks in a video on TikTok.
She grabbed a beige plaid blazer and skirt.
“No, I thought this was cute. So does she,” Madison said, gesturing to her friend.
“It's $50,” she added.
Madison revealed the brand name of the suit set, leaving the couple in shock.
“Then I see it's from Shein,” she said, laughing.
“Not really,” her friend said with a chuckle, to which Madison replied, “Not on the website.”
The Shein brand is known as a fashion giant with affordable prices, usually much less than the going rate in the thrift store.
Madison wrote in the caption, “$50 for Shein at the thrift store is insane.”
The video attracted many viewers who gave their two cents on the thrift store prices in the comments section.
“Goodwill prices have literally been outrageous lately,” one person wrote.
“I was looking at a dress at Value Village that cost $20 from Cider,” another added.
“No, literally no,” a third commented.
Yet another wrote: “$50 for a thrift store find that isn't leather or fur is outrageous.”
“The nerve,” someone else said.
