He became the 'enforcer' and 'top dog' of a gang linked to the Gillespie brothers – whose crime network once spanned the globe.

The hitman has now left put in prison along with his “submissive” cronies Thomas Guthrie and Darren Owen after a twelve-week trial.

Harvey was convicted of shooting gym boss Gary More outside his home in Airdrie. Lanarkshire.

More, 32, owed the gang a debt medicine debt of £100,000 – with thug Neil Anderson visiting him several times before the murder.

Harvey shot More nine times in the head and body after Anderson lured him out of the house.

Getaway driver Guthrie, 27, took Harvey away from More's home in a Skoda.

The engine was found burnt out later that evening on a farm in Baldernock. East Dunbartonshire.

Harvey splashed his reward from the paid punch on a shiny set of “Turkey Teeth”.

“It was funded Turkey teeth acquired by Harvey – additional expenditure from the payment for Mr More's murder.”

Harvey, Guthrie and Owen later tried to kill drug dealer Scott Bennett, 43, outside a vet in nearby Rutherglen.

Killer Harvey shot Bennett once as he sat in his van, with the bullet passing through his jaw and mouth and lodging in his neck.

Bennett immediately fled after the “pre-planned execution attempt”.

He was jailed in 2022 after pleading guilty to involvement in serious organized crime and supply of controlled drugs.

Harvey and his girlfriend Carla Montgomery took a £1,000 flight to Australia after the sidewalk shooting.

Guthrie also brutally beat down 68-year-old attorney Joe Shields after he was found lurking outside his office nearby Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Shields had one gang led by David Sell, who spent sixteen years in prison for kidnapping and torturing drug dealer Robert Allan.

The “cowardly, unprovoked attack” on Shields left him with horrific lacerations to his ear, mouth, cheek, temple, hands and back.

Guthrie's outing car was found burnt out in the same car where he had set fire to the Skoda used in the murder of Gary More.

REIGN OF TERROR

Owen, 23, also shot dead 36-year-old Rafal Lyko after picking him up in a Mercedes GLE stolen in Edinburgh.

The remains of Polish national Lyko were found in the burned out shell of the Mercedes in Blantyre.

It is believed the gang ordered Lyko's murder over a “drug debt”.

But their empire of fear fell apart when colleague Scott Brown became a prosecution witness.

He told the gangsters' trial that Guthrie told him to follow the fleeing Skoda to the farm and watch it go up in flames.

Police confiscated a phone that Guthrie was using at the time, causing him to say, “Everybody be damned – Barry, Barry's bird”.
