According to The AthleticsEverton are still open to handing Dele a new contract in a bid to help him revive his career.

However, the Toffees will first have to hold talks with Tottenham.

Everton did not have to pay an immediate fee after agreeing to sign the ex-England star, but they will have to pay £10million if he reaches 20 appearances.

Dele has made 13 appearances since leaving North London for Merseyside.

He completed the transfer in January 2022 and signed a two-and-a-half-year contract upon his arrival.
