A class 8 student was allegedly beaten to death by a group of people in Delhi’s New Usmanpur area on Friday, police said.

Delhi News: In a gruesome incident, a schoolboy died of injuries after he was brutally beaten by a group of unidentified assailants in New Usmanpur area of ​​Delhi on Friday. According to police, the victim, a class 8 student at a private school, was found drenched in his own blood with serious injuries to his head, face and left hand.

A senior official said the deceased boy’s blood was found smeared at several places along the road, indicating that the attackers had dragged him away.

“The incident took place at around 2.15 pm at Sant Ravidas Gali in Brahmpuri and police received information about it from JPC Hospital at 4.04 pm,” police said, adding that the victim was a resident of Brahmpuri and was studying in a private school.

Based on preliminary investigation, police said the boy was apparently involved in an altercation with a boy after school, which prompted the attack on him. “The claim is being verified,” they said.

“The boy was found with injuries to his head, face and left hand. Blood stains were found at several places on the road,” an official said, adding that the injured boy was rushed to JPC Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A case of murder is being registered and CCTV footage is being scanned to identify the attackers, the officer added.

Gurugram student attacked by gang of boys outside school

In a similar incident, a class 11 student was brutally attacked by a group of as many as 20 boys outside the gate of a private school in the Sushant Lok area of ​​Haryana’s Gurugram earlier this month. According to police, the attackers first tried to kidnap the victim.

According to police, the attack, which was captured on CCTV cameras installed outside the school gate, showed the attackers arriving in five cars and apparently trying to kidnap the victim. The boy suffered serious injuries all over his body, including both his eyes, and was admitted to a private hospital for treatment, they said.

An official said the victim’s father Amit Dahiya, a resident of Gurugram’s Krishna Colony, received a call from the school in the afternoon informing him that his son had been admitted to Umkal Hospital after a physical attack.

“When I reached the hospital, I found that my son was in a very bad condition,” Dahiya said in his complaint, police said.

Dahiya said his son told him that three classmates and 17 others were lurking outside the school gates and pounced on him as soon as he stepped outside.

According to police, the victim suffered multiple injuries to his body, including his eyes, and is being treated at a private hospital.

Dahiya had told police that the attackers wanted to kill his son.

“They came in five vehicles and surrounded him with the intention of forcing him into one of the cars. The suspect also concealed the license plates of the cars by sticking stickers on them. The school staff confirmed what happened and the entire incident was captured on CCTV footage,” Dahiya said in his complaint, police said.
