New Delhi: On Republic Day, the Delhi Metro will start running on all lines at 4 am to facilitate the public to reach the Kartavya Path for the parade on January 26. DMRC has said that the services will be available with a headway of 30 minutes till 6 am and after that the rest of the day will follow the regular schedule.

“People holding bona fide e-invitation cards or e-tickets for attending the Republic Day ceremony will be issued coupons on presentation of government-issued identity cards at stations, which will be valid at exits of the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan stations only reach Kartavya Path,” said a statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The same coupon is valid for return journeys from these two stations.

The officials further said that passengers with invitation cards marked for Annexes 1 to 9 and V1 and V2 should deboard at Udyog Bhawan.

“Similarly, those (with invitation cards) marked for Annexes 10 to 24 and UN are advised to alight at the Central Secretariat. Regular announcements will also be made in the trains to inform passengers so that they can alight at designated stations to reach their lodgings smoothly,” the DMRC said.
