Severe flooding in several areas has exacerbated the problems for the residents of Delhi, who are already dealing with the harsh winter. According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather on Thursday is expected to remain the same as yesterday. “One spot is passing through Delhi and is currently receiving light to moderate rainfall at a few places, accompanied by moderate to intense thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds,” IMD said. The weather department stated that another cloud was moving towards the capital from Rohtak and Jhajjar.

“Another area moving from Rohtak and Jhajjar (Haryana) towards Delhi, this may bring another spell of light to moderate rainfall at a few places accompanied by moderate to intense thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds after 2-3 hours,” it continued. the IMD. added.

Meanwhile, parts of Jammu, Kashmir, Muzaffarbad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand Ladakh, and Gilgit, Baltistan were also affected by light to moderate showers. According to IMD, snowfall is also expected in hilly areas in the coming days due to the western disturbances.

Earlier, the weather department stated that light or moderate rainfall is very likely over Delhi Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana. Scattered rain is forecast in parts of Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, on January 31 and February 1.
