A BEAUTY enthusiast has shared her DIY facial cream recipe based on age-old secrets.
She shared her favorite cold cream skin care recipe in a TikTok video.
Rachel (@rachaelpontilloskin care) explained that she adopted the beauty recipe from a Vintage Beauty Club Class.
“Discover the ancient herbal skin care secrets used by your grandmother’s grandmother,” the site urged.
Instead of cosmetics from Ulta or Sephora, the site revealed that they specialized in skin care that came naturally from Mother Earth.
“Long ago, long before parabens, phthalates and Ulta, Sephora and Influencers telling us what to buy, our ancestors ‘shopped’ for botanicals from their gardens to create natural beauty products,” the site explains.
Instead of chemicals, the “old way” of creating skin care involved collecting flowers, leaves, and pressed oils from nuts and seeds.
The traditional method of collecting for beauty resources still exists in many cultures.
“In Asia, the Americas, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Atlantic and Pacific Islands, earthly and sacred beauty rituals persist in the indigenous cultures that still celebrate them, and in the passed down traditions hidden among of European colonization. ,” the site said.
Rachael was excited to try the facial cream with all-natural ingredients.

She shared her spread of materials prepped and ready to go on her kitchen table.
In bowls she had prepared beeswax, mango butter, aloe vera gel, rose hydrosol and tamanu oil.
In a pot on the stove she started melting the wax and butter.
Once the liquids were mixed and thoroughly incorporated, she transferred the solution to a food processor.
She then added the remaining ingredients and mixed it quickly.
A thick white cream was the end result, which she tested on the back of her hand to test for allergies.
