It is very important that your dryer is clean. This means your clothes will dry faster and you will save on your energy bill.

If the filter is clogged, your machine will use more energy to dry your clothes and make your clothes smell.

Ensuring this is clean will help prevent odors and keep your appliance working optimally.

And even the cleanest people have to do it, including cleaning professional Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch.

She recently shared a simple five-step guide to effective dry cleaning with her Samsung dryer.

Sophie, 34, who currently has more than 4.8 million followers on Instagram, took to her social media page to show how she gets her dryer clean.

She first started by emptying the drawer and emptying it into the sink.

Sophie then went to clean the filter, but before she did that, she put kitchen foil in the sink so that the lint doesn’t clog your plug hole.

Mrs Hinch swears by a £22 blouse for a night out… she likes it so much she bought it in both colors

Mrs Hinch then dusts the outside of her tumble dryer, saving the lint for lighting wood fires at home.

Before putting the filter back in, use a dust cloth to remove any extra lint from the machine.

Then clean the heat exchanger – pull it out and if you have a Samsung machine you get a small brush to get all the dust out so no need to wash.

Finally, spray a rag and wipe down the drum to finish.

The products are called Vacay Vibes products – Bold Pods, Lenor Scent Boosters, Lenor Outdoorable and Bold Gel.

Sophie claims that the Bold Pods, which cost £12.99 for a large bag, “come with a unique three-chamber design featuring a brilliant cleaning agent with built-in fabric softener – for cleaner, fresher and softer feeling clothes.”

TIPS FOR BRIGHTENING A RUBBER MIND

Decluttering expert Carolyn Creel gives her top tips for getting your mind ready for spring

  • Daily gratitude/intention setting: “Every day I take time to write down all the things I am grateful for, and my intention or goals for that day or week. I write things over and over again, highlighting, circling, and star whatever makes it work for me was most important.
  • Crystals in my bra, under my pillow: “I’m not kidding, I regularly pick out crystals every day and put them in my bra or wear some type of jewelry. Currently I wear Tiger’s Eye and Labradorite. If I’m really stuck, I use my pendulum to help with yes/no answers.
  • Tune into your inner medium: “There is often so much theater in working with our intuition or mind. A simple way to gain clarity or declutter your mind is to pick up a book, page through it until it stops, and then read the first line. Often that line can be the message you need for that day.”
  • Cloud look: “A fun thing I like to do to clear my head is to stare at the clouds. I love seeing the shapes appear in the sky and being able to predict where they will go next. Such a beautiful and joyful way to take time out with family or friends. on your own.
  • Fall in love with the everyday: “Zone off while you clean. When I’m stressed or need a time out, I clean or wash the dishes until I’ve expended the energy or achieved the solution I need. It’s the old idea of ’Carry water, chop wood’ – immerse yourself in something else to gain clarity.”
  • Make a ‘Let it go’ jar: “To keep a clear, clutter-free mind, write down everything that’s bothering you on a post-it. This includes negative thoughts. Feelings. Anything you keep quiet about. Once you’ve filled the jar, you let it go. Burn it in the light of the moon – or whenever you feel like it. Just let it go.”
  • Make a list of things you need to do, but keep postponing/ignoring them: “Promise to clear the list within a week.”
  • Take a shower or bath with Epsom salt: “Imagine all the negative energy and worries going down the drain.”
  • Take an ‘energy shower’: “Go outside and run your hands over your body from head to toe. Imagine all the heavy energy and cluttered thoughts leaving your energy field. Shake your hands and wiggle your toes, pushing away the energy that you don’t longer, creating space for light and clear energy and thoughts.”

The decision made her rich, and she now earns an average of £77,000 a week thanks to fans buying her products, books and endorsements.

The influencer created her Instagram account, @mrshinchhome, in March 2018 and amassed a whopping two million followers within a year.

She has a huge fan base, known as #HinchArmy, and they often share cleaning tips on social media after being inspired by Mrs Hinch.
