DUSTING is one of those household chores that often slips through the cracks.

A cleaning enthusiast has shared the five areas of your home you're most likely to forget to wipe clean.

In her videoMichelle Savage (@maidbynature) guided her followers through each of the overlooked places.

The professional cleaner explained that the list was based on her own experience.

“Five things I often see forgotten when it comes to dusting, whether by the homeowner or a previous cleaner,” she said.

First, Michelle showed her audience an item that can be found in most rooms of the house.

“I think curtain rods are probably one of the most common things that I see missing,” the TikToker said.

She mentioned canvas wall art as “a close second” to things that haven't been dusted enough.

She then revealed the everyday item found in every home that people often overlook when dusting.

'And then there are the backs of dining room chairs. For some reason this little edge always gets missed,” Michelle explained as she wiped off her chair.

She also showed her audience how to quickly tackle dust on a fabric headboard, something people often forget.

“These are easy to dust, you can just use a lint roller, but we had the vacuum out on this day so we just vacuumed it out,” she said.

Finally, Michelle used her lint roller as she wiped down the lampshades in her home.

“I don't know why lampshades are often overlooked,” she told her viewers.

One of her followers shared two additional overlooked places in the comments section.

“Smoke detectors and also above doors,” the TikTok user suggested.
