EXTINCTION Rebellion has been convicted over a plot to flood Britain’s financial center with clowns and fake yuppies.
Thousands of them eco-fanatics will focus on insurance companies in the City of London next week.

XR has written to forty bosses threatening action unless they stop insuring oil and gas projects.
The messages call for ‘trained clowns’, drummers and singers to take part in an event starting outside the Royal Exchange.
They promise to send activists in business attire to pubs to talk to city workers and work with pro-Palestine protesters outside the Lloyds insurance building.
An “action package” suggests they also block companies’ phone lines, bombard staff with emails and leave one-star reviews.
Demos are planned in other cities.
Tory MP Craig Tracey said: “Everyone has the right to protest, but they should remember that many insurers are doing a lot for the environment and enabling the development of green technology.”
Another MP said: “I fear XR’s plans will backfire and that is a shame for dealing with the climate crisis.”
Commander Umer Khan, City of London Police said: “City of London Police have increased patrols and will be more visible as they work to reassure our communities throughout the week. Behavior that crosses the line into criminality will not be tolerated in the city and will result in us making arrests.”
A spokesperson said: “Maybe MPs need to grow up and stop the mindless name-calling and instead look at the facts. Major insurance companies in the City of London are currently giving the green light to massive ‘carbon bomb’ oil and gas projects around the world that will accelerate the climate crisis to levels that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warn that we will all face a future of deadly storms and heat waves, famine, floods and war.
“But it doesn’t have to be this way. Insurers could pull the plug on the entire fossil fuel industry overnight by simply refusing to insure it. That’s why next week we will visit insurance companies in London and across the UK to invite them to be climate heroes, not climate zeros, by refusing to insure the oil and gas barons who are causing climate chaos.”
