ROY HODGSON plans to stay in football and is looking for a consultancy job – possibly abroad.

Hodgson, 76, left his role as Crystal Palace manager after a training ground collapse but is not yet done with the game.

The former England and Liverpool boss will look to continue working off the pitch.

And he would like to have a crack in another country and has extensive experience in Sweden and Italy.

Hodgson’s reputation is high in the coaching world and he could receive offers soon.

Insiders reveal Hodgson played a key role in the team selection for Monday’s 1-1 draw with Everton, ahead of his medical tragedy.

Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone returned to the team and Odsonne Edouard was named for Matheus Franca.

Both subs were lined up in preparation for the match before he left.

Palace started their post-Hodgson era with a 3-0 win over Burnley today.

It was Austrian boss Oliver Glasner’s first game in charge of the Eagles.
