Fortnite downtime: When are servers updated?

FORTNITE is one of the world’s most popular video games, but as a live service game it has to go offline from time to time.

Today is one of those days where servers are offline, with no clear idea of when they will come back.

If you want to get into Fortnite, you might have to wait a while.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s server downtime on February 22.

Why is Fortnite offline?

Every few months, Fortnite schedules downtime to prepare for the new season’s content.

This is the v28.30 update and marks the start of Season 2 for Fortnite’s Rock Band mode, Fortnite Festival.

Lady Gaga headlines the second season, bringing new outfits, emotes, songs and stages.

There will also be updates for the other game modes, so Fortnite Battle Royale, Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing will also be offline.

Servers have been taken offline Thursday February 22, 2024, bee 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am GMT.

There’s no clear indication of when they’ll return, but server maintenance usually takes about three hours.

We expect the servers to be operational again the same day 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm GMTHowever, the actual time may be shorter or longer.
