Ayodhya Airport is ready for flight operations and receives airport license from DGCA

The upcoming Ayodhya Airport was awarded the Aerodrome license in the all-weather public use category by DGCA on Thursday. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI) received the license from Vikram Dev Dutt, DG, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in New Delhi on December 14.

This achievement is significant as the project was time-bound and the airport would be operational for the convenience of people across the world planning to visit the temple city of Ayodhya. The airport has a 2200 meter long runway with full Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGLs) infrastructure and is supported by Doppler Very High Frequency Omni Range (DVOR) and Instrument Landing System (ILS).
