Camel riding groom: An amusing news report comes from the Kannur district of Kerala, where a man rode a camel to his wedding. To top it off, the groom rode the camel accompanied by 25 people to the wedding venue.

It must have been a great day full of great feelings for the man who was given the opportunity, but his act, or perhaps a dare, caused a traffic jam on a busy road, after which the local police fined him and his companions for causing a nuisance.

The groom Riswan, who hails from Valapattanam, and his companions were booked by the Chakkarakkal police after he led a camel procession to his wedding venue earlier this week, police said.

The camel procession, accompanied by bursting crackers and band music, resulted in traffic jams on a busy road, stranding airport-bound vehicles and an ambulance.

Responding to complaints from locals, police reached the spot and forcibly evicted those who caused the traffic blockage and registered a case against 26 people, including the groom, on charges of unlawful assembly and causing a traffic blockage, police said.

The images of the camel riding groom have gone viral on various social media platforms.
