Gyanvapi Mosque: The Allahabad High Court on Friday rejected an interim stay on the Varanasi court's order allowing Hindu devotees to conduct prayers at the disputed 'Vyas Ka Tekhana' area of ​​the Gyanvapi Mosque. The Allahabad High Court has given the case till February 6 Masjid Intezamia Committee by Gyanvapi Mosque to amend its pleadings to include a challenge to an order dated January 17, in consequence of which the order dated January 31 was passed. Speaking to news agency ANI, BJP MP Harnath Yadav said, “Every bit of character and blood of the opposition parties is anti-Hindu.”

The next hearing will now take place on February 6, 2024. Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal said the mosque side should first challenge the January 17, 2024 order. By this order, District Magistrate Varanasi was appointed as receiver and thereafter the DM took possession of the Gyanvapi property on January 23, 2024.

The court had asked Masjid Intezamia Committee's lawyer SFA Naqvi why the basic order dated January 17, 2024 was not challenged? The committee's lawyer said: “That he had to come immediately because of the January 31 order. Will also challenge it (the basic order). For as soon as the order was given, the District Magistrate made preparations during the night and started the puja within nine hours.”
