Leading super PAC backer Nikki Haley said Thursday it had raised $50.1 million in the second half of 2023, a staggering amount that dwarfs the amount raised by the leading super PAC backing former President Donald J. Trump .

The group, SFA Fund Inc., provided the figure to The New York Times but provided no additional details on its finances. Detailed documents must be filed with the Federal Election Commission by January 31 and will detail all fundraising and expenditures made by the group between July 1 and December 31.

Trump-linked super PAC MAGA Inc. said Thursday it had raised more than $46 million in the second half of 2023.

Throughout 2023, SFA Fund Inc. – short for Stand for America Fund – raised $68.9 million. It's not clear how much the group has on hand, but in recent months it has spent tens of millions of dollars on advertising and independent expenditures, records show.

While returns from Ms. Haley's super PAC show how donors flocked to her as the Republican field consolidated late last year, it is unclear whether she can maintain that financial strength in a two-person race against Mr. Trump. He defeated her handily in the first two contests in Iowa and New Hampshire this month, but she has vowed to continue her campaign for the nomination.
