Halle Bailey is a wonder in white on a rare red carpet with boyfriend DDG at the Recording Academy Honors, weeks after welcoming her son

Halle Bailey made a rare red carpet appearance with longtime friend DDG at the Recording Academy Honors presented by The Black Music Collective in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 23-year-old Little Mermaid star – who welcomed her first baby, a son named Halo, last year – wowed in a strapless white dress.

Bailey showed off her postpartum figure in the low-cut look, which exposed her busty chest.

The number was decorated with white sequins and had a mermaid cut that covered her shoes.

And her 26-year-old partner, with whom she dated in early 2022, contrasted her look in black.

Ahead of Sunday's Grammy Awards show, the stunner wore her locked hair down and let it flow down her back.

She wore a diamond rope necklace and matching earrings as she strolled the red carpet.

Bailey's face glowed with soft makeup that included a warm blush and a glossy pink lip stain.

Her nails were impeccably manicured in a nude color and she wore multiple rings.

Her boyfriend, who is also a musician, wore a black shirt with a matching tie and a long, ribbed coat on top.

The stylish rapper wore a striking gold-colored watch and added black leather gloves.

He covered his eyes with a pair of shiny, sporty black sunglasses as he stayed close to Halle.

In an interview with People published Thursday, she said their baby boy's name Halo was chosen for DDG, full name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.

“It was actually my friend's idea,” Bailey said, crediting her friend. “He's the one who came up with his name.”

Halle recently fired back at critics who called her a “liar” for hiding her pregnancy by photoshopping away her baby bump.

She used social media app X to communicate with angry fans last Sunday.

It started when she shared a flashback video on Snapchat, writing, “Lmaoo y'all remember seeing these pics on my insta? we photoshopped my belly out,” and added a laughing emoji.

But some fans didn't see the humor and accused her of lying.

She defended her decision, writing, “I never lied about it or even said anything about it honey, making a joke about my nose was the furthest I went.”

'I'll never understand why you're angry. I have protected my own peace, wouldn't you do the same?' asked the star.

She then ended with a defiant note: 'and I'm going to share my pictures now if I want to because my son is safe here, if you don't want to see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you!♥️'

The child wore a gold bracelet with his name engraved on it.
