Sam Altman, the CEO of Open AI, was removed from the company by the board of directors on Friday. The news was a complete shock to much of the company’s workforce and to its largest business partner, Microsoft. Silicon Valley insiders are trying to get answers about what exactly happened and why the board’s decision seemed so abrupt. We list what we know and the many things we still don’t know.
